I love taking photographs. It’s a great way to put everyday life to one side and just slow down, take a deep breath and focus on the surroundings. To relax. Digital photography means making images is easier than ever. But still the hardest part is pointing the camera in exactly the right direction. So that’s what I’m trying to do. And if I have a little fun whilst taking the pix, then so much the better, and I’ll reflect that in the blog. I hope you enjoy it. Leave me a message in the box below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks for your comments, good pictures in your blog, The idea of ‘from a London bus’ came from this site; http://www.thepolskiblog.co.uk/2009/09/from-the-upper-deck/
I did read Madam Bovary, but found it hard going, I will try it again.
All the best

And another thing, I have been to NY a number of times in my youth, never seen the Flastiron building, would love to, the best picture of it, I think, is still that by Edward Steichen taken in 1905.
regards
Mike

I agree. The Steichen photo is the best that I’ve seen too. There are 2prints of it in Moma. One is printed much darker than the other. Very moody. I think Steichen took the picture in winter which allowed him to shoot through the trees. I was in NY in October when the trees were still in full leaf. A good enough reason to go to NY again!!! Tom

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to use one of your pictures of the Oyster Smack for an exhibition I’m putting together for a client?
October 6th, 2012 at 6:58 am
Yes, that’s fine. Can you let me know which image, and could you give me a credit for the photo. Who’s the client? Tom

Hi. I wanted a cool picture of a clock to put on a blog post and I found your photo of an (I assume the) astronomical clock in Prague. So I just added it to the post. However, I will remove it if you like. On the post, I attributed it to you and provided a link to the page of your site where it is to be found. It is such a great photo. I will remove it if you request, or edit the information.

Hi Judy
Thanks for contacting me. It’s ok to use the photo, but can I make a request – could you make a small contribution to a charity of your choice, in lieu of payment. Thanks. Tom
