I was always meant to be a cowboy…

I think we all have a secret (American) dream – freedom, escape, leaving it all behind – all that sort of stuff. When I was a kid I loved a good Western. So when I got the chance I had to live the dream, jump on my horse and ride into the sunset. Heady stuff, yihaaaaa!

Bloody hell, look at the view!

OK, so I only got a 3 hour ride along the rim, but me and trusty Trigger enjoyed the ride. Actually I got the impression that I enjoyed it, Trigger had seen it all before and was bored witless…

Even the clouds are just awesome (there's that word again...)

This landscape is a landscape of dreams. Could’ve stayed there for ever, but that is never possible so for a couple of days I indulged my dream. One day I want to go back and instead of Trigger I want to ride the river. Might need a waterproof camera for that one. In the meantime, Trig and I ride into the sunset, in my mind anyway….
